Twin Flame; A Friendship

us, we are the twilight
like illuminated dark
the starbeam and the moonglow
the gasoline, the spark
candles burning side by side
we twist and sway like wind 
wavering but still ablaze
even if the flames grow dim
through downpours, blizzards, heavy rains
this fire burns within us
united, whether near or far
we will not be extinguished
